Professional translation differs from general translation in that the translator reflects his/her experience in the field and follows a process which requires research. 03Translation Quality Control (Proofreading)
Proofreading is to review and correct and edit a written text in terms of language, narrative, contents, etc. In the process of translation quality control (proofreading), the source and target texts are compared to check and correct any text that has already been translated. Accordingly, any missing or erroneous parts in the translation are re-edited on the basis of the source text. In this operation, such errors as possible semantic shifts, inverted sentences, erroneous use of words, etc. which spoil the integrity and meaning of the text are carefully corrected. The team that carries out the proofreading operation is consisted of translators who are specialised in this field.

05Consecutive Interpretation
Foreign coaches make statements to press after a game. Meanwhile, the interpreter next to them interprets the speech consecutively. This type of interpretation is the most common example of consecutive interpretation. Same interpretation is also made in international seminars and conferences. Country representatives have an interpreter who interprets their speech while they speak in their own language. This interpreter consecutively interprets the speech.

Which certification do you need?
There are three layers, each sitting on top of the last. Which one applies is decided not by you but by the institution receiving the document.
In countries outside the Convention an apostille is not valid; a consular legalisation chain applies instead.

We work in thirty-six languages
Each language brings its own difficulty: the script in one, name transliteration in another, the destination country's certification chain in a third. So we wrote a separate page for each.
- Script and transliteration
- In non-Latin scripts, how your name is written is a decision in itself. We follow the passport spelling and show the original as well.
- The destination's certification route
- An apostille is not valid everywhere. Iran and Turkmenistan need a consular chain; China joined the Convention in 2023.
- Document names in that country
- A German Führungszeugnis is not the same thing as a Turkish criminal record certificate. We spell out the difference.

What happens after you send it?
Three steps. You are not asked to guess what it will cost or how long it will take; both arrive in writing at the first step.
Step 01
Send the document
A photo, a scan or the original file is enough. Upload it through the quote form, send it on WhatsApp or by email. We come back with a fixed price based on character count and a delivery date, together. Nothing starts before you approve it.
Step 02
A translator with the right background works on it
Legal, medical, technical, academic and commercial texts go to a translator experienced in that field. When the translation is finished the file does not come straight to you: it goes through a separate quality check for terminology consistency and for the accuracy of names and figures.
Step 03
Receive it in the form you need
You can receive the signed and stamped copy online. If a wet-signed original is required we courier it to your address, or you collect it from our Urla or Alsancak office. If notarisation is also needed, that step is completed at the notary.

You can drop documents off at either office and collect the wet-signed translation in person. Coming in is not required: the whole process can also be handled online.

What is a sworn translation?
A sworn translation is a translation produced by a translator who has taken an oath before a notary public, and it carries that translator's signature and seal.
The signature and seal show that an identifiable person stands behind the document, which is why official institutions ask for foreign-language documents in this form.
How are translation prices calculated?
Translation prices are calculated per page, and one page is taken as 20 lines on the basis of the Turkish Act of Fees No. 492.
In digital form this corresponds to roughly 1,000 characters without spaces, or 150–200 words.
You can check your document's character count by clicking “Words” at the bottom left in Microsoft Word. If you send us the document, we will do the calculation and share the exact amount.
What is an apostille, and is it obtained before or after translation?
An apostille is a certificate that confirms the validity of a public document between countries party to the Hague Convention.
The order depends on the destination country. For Turkish documents being sent abroad, the apostille is usually obtained first and the translation is produced afterwards.
Proceeding in the wrong order can mean repeating the process, so we recommend telling us the destination country from the outset.
How do I receive my translation?
You can receive your translation online in signed and sealed form, have it couriered to your address, or collect it in person from our offices in İzmir.
When an original wet-signed copy is required for official procedures, courier or in-person collection is preferred.
How many languages do you translate?
We translate official, legal, technical, academic and commercial documents in 36 languages, all of them listed by name on the languages page.
If you state your language pair when requesting a quote, we will assign a translator who specialises in that field.
I am not in İzmir. Can we still work together?
Yes. The whole process runs online: you send the document and receive the signed and stamped translation digitally.
If a wet-signed original is required we courier it to your address. Coming to an office is only necessary if you prefer to collect it in person.
How long does a translation take?
Delivery time depends on the length and language of the document and on whether notarisation is required.
